Architecture & Conservation
This small farm holding overlooking Ireland’s most spectacular rugged coast line and beaches was an unique opportunity to re-develop and old farmhouse and out buildings for modern family living. Both client and planning authority required that the identity and scale be respected in design and any extra development be proportionate and sympathetic the existing structures and the classical proportions of the local rural vernacular tradition of building.
Bonus accommodation in old out-buildings.
Opportunity was taken to provide guest and overflow accommodation in one of the lofty outbuildings that formerly housed pigs and chickens.
